I am thrilled to update you on the continued progress of our Skill Burst project.
"Through the gamification of skills, Skill Bursts will raise awareness of high-valued careers and help young adults build future-fit skills that improve their labour market position."
As we move into the latter part of 2024, we are excited to share our latest progress on miFuture's evolving digital platform. Transparency is at the heart of our journey, and we remain committed to building our vision in public.
User-centred design remains at the core of our development process. This approach ensures that our solutions are genuinely aligned with the needs and preferences of our users.
What we've achieved
1. External User Testing
An external third-party product tester has carried out unbiased evaluations without our involvement. This approach has given us a clearer picture of how users engage with the platform and where we can enhance the experience.
2. Refining Our Audience
After careful analysis, we made a strategic decision to focus exclusively on level 3 learners not heading to university. This audience aligns with our mission to bridge gaps in the transition from education to employment and allows us to refine our market validation.
3. A Shift in Language and Branding
We’ve listened closely to user feedback, which highlighted the need for a stronger connection to education and careers. While we deliberately steered away from traditional educational language in favour of gaming terminology, our audience has expressed a desire for the platform to feel more aligned with a learning and careers-focused space. This insight is shaping how we approach our language and branding, ensuring it resonates deeply with our users.
Looking Ahead to Q4 2024
Next quarter, we begin planning for our hyperlocal pilot in Q2 2025.
This will involve refining the pilot deliverables and collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure its success. We’re excited to take this next step and are grateful for the continued support and enthusiasm of our community.
