🙋♀️ Hey miFuture Community,
We’ve made strong progress this quarter, with Skill Bursts moving from idea to readiness.
Let me give you a quick update on progress:
1. Skill Bursts: From Recording to Real Learners
The first seven Skill Bursts microlessons are now complete, each focused on one of the Qualities Employers Want: Reliability, Enthusiasm, Self Motivation, Honesty, Resilience, Collaboration, and Empathy.
These short, five-minute lessons are our first step in testing the Skill Bursts concept; fast, focused learning designed to help young people build real-world, work-ready skills.
We’ve finalised an assessment method and selected an interim hosting platform to run our early testing phase.
In October, a testbed of learners and career leads will get hands-on access for the first time. Their feedback will be crucial as we refine how Skill Bursts deliver quick, impactful learning experiences.
You can be part of it! Find out more HERE.
2. Next Phase: Gamification
We’ve lined up our developers to begin scoping the full gamification and reward system in Q4. This next phase will focus on how learners interact, progress, and stay motivated across the platform; ensuring every Skill Burst feels rewarding and repeatable.
3. Building AI Literacy
Work has already begun on our AI Literacy strand, which will be the primary focus of our next build phase. We know that AI is already shaping every workplace, and that confidence in using these tools is fast becoming a baseline skill.
We’re building for that reality. AI Literacy will sit alongside employability qualities and digital fluency within Skill Bursts , helping learners prepare for a world where human and digital skills work hand-in-hand.
What’s Next
Q4 will be about testing, learning, and laying the groundwork for gamification.
The feedback from our early testers will shape how we evolve Skill Bursts into the next stage of development.
This project continues to grow through collaboration, and we’re grateful to every educator, career lead, and learner helping us build something meaningful; something that prepares young people to thrive in the future of work.
If you have any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out. We value your input and are committed to building a solution that benefits all members of our network.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Together, we are making significant strides toward a brighter future for young adults.
